Brilliant production covering an impressive range of IDM, ambient, glitch and even elements of DnB. The Butterfly Effect is especially captivating and is one of many highlights to be found on this EP. Highly recommended! Jeff Haight
It's always interesting seeing qualchan. splitting pieces up with more noisier, abrasive artists on his albums whenever they do.
There's a nice contrast to be found between the more sporadic, experimental loops on the first half when you get to pair with a more cohesive force, like watching a thick darkness melt over onto a perfectly sculpted statue and create something oddly captivating.
Fans of either experimental, industrial loop work and psychedelic tape manipulations will like this one. Cardian Matsu
Along the Wind Spear is a mystical journey of atmospheric melodies that float in a coat of nostalgic sheen. It is poetry via found 70's summer camp polaroids via distorted washes of detuned synths. Although not a Boards Of Canada copyist, Survey Channel is the kind of artist you want to seek out while BoC takes another ten years to come up with a follow up album. fran3000
